Although you can visit any time, you will want to visit when it’s light out, for the best photos. Also, other attractions in the area, such as temples and museums, tend to have visiting hours.

Plus, the deer in the park, one of the major reasons for visiting Nara Park, settle down to rest in the evening, so if you want to see them out and about and feed them, daylight hours are optimal.
