While Nara Park has no entrance fee, most visitors pay to purchase deer food. You can buy the special rice crackers from vendors in the park during the day (about 200 yen or USD 1.32 per packet) or at vending machines if you visit when the shops are closed (about 500 yen or USD 3.30 per package).
You can roam Nara Park for free but attractions like the Todai-ji Temple and the Nara National Museum within the park do have entrance fees.
